In October 2018, Ofcom published its final statement on its review of the UK Personal Numbering market. The review looked at the 070 number range and found confusion between a standard 07 mobile and a 070 number. This led to higher than expected call charges to consumers, resulting in ‘bill shock’ as well as frequent misuse of the number range for fraudulent activities.
When it published its Final Statement, Ofcom announced changes to the way 070 numbers are billed. As a result of its changes, it is no longer viable for Daisy to continue to provide services on out 070 numbers, which used to be known as CallSure.
From 1 November 2019, we put the 07050 and 07020 number ranges on end of life and any existing services on these numbers was ceased.

Can I keep my number?
Ofcom’s General Condition B3 allows you to port your number to another service provider should you wish to keep your number. However, you will need to find a provider who can do this for you as Daisy cannot facilitate this for you. Please be aware to continue to use your number this will be a chargeable service with a new provider..
Why is Daisy doing this?
We made the decision to move away from providing services on 070 numbers because of their declining usage and, as a result of Ofcom’s statement.
What if I am unable to move my number in time?
From 1 November 2019, we will no longer provide services on 070 numbers so you will need to ensure the ports have been confirmed and completed by then.
I am unable to move my number in time, can I have an extension of service?
We will not be able to provide an extension due to the way Ofcom has changed the billing structure of the numbers.
Who owns the number!
We are the Range Holder for the 070 number range but Ofcom’s General Condition B3 allows you to port your number to another service provider. However, the service provided by Daisy on your 070 number will be ceased on 1 November 2019.
Is Daisy billing me for this number?
There are no billing contracts in place for these numbers because it is a legacy service that we have continued to provide. However, due to the changes Ofcom is imposing and the findings of the review we will no longer be able to provide the service
Is there a contract in place for this service?
There is no billing contract currently in place for these services. However, in line with our standard terms and conditions, we are providing you with 30 days’ notice of the termination of the services on your 070 number(s).
