Whilst the UK has been hit with more flooding over night in some other areas (examples being Lancashire), at present no further areas have been announced to have delays in repair. However, if there is any change, Daisy Communications will update this page.

Next update will be 16:00 25/02/2020.

20/02/2020 – Openreach outages due to local flooding

The UK was hit, over the weekend of 15 and 16 February 2020, with severe weather resulting from ‘Storm Dennis’. The storm brought extremely high winds, heavy rainfall and caused extensive flooding in many areas. The severe weather has resulted in damage to the Openreach network, with fault rates in the most affected areas at very high.

Daisy Communications are working closely with Openreach to understand the true impact to these areas. Openreach are working hard to bring service back to many of the areas impacted but in some areas the repair work is much slower due to flooding in the exchanges or ducting.

Therefore, Openreach have declared the following areas that could be subject to longer then normal fix times:

West Downs
Central Scotland
Cardiff and South Wales
Stoke and Chester
South Midlands
East Midlands
Manchester
Avon & Wiltshire
North Downs
North and Mid Wales
Swansea and West Wales
Newmarket
Thamesway
Solent

We are committed to keep you updated on the progress of repair in these areas and will provide updates via this page every 48 hours.
