Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we work and do business. Microsoft has been developing and introducing AI-powered features and products throughout the year, and now they are excited to reveal the latest updates for the new AI products.
The new Microsoft AI products include Microsoft Copilot in Windows (in preview), Bing Chat Enterprise, and Microsoft 365 Copilot!
In this blog post, we will explore Microsoft 365 Copilot and Bing Chat Enterprise, and how they can help you and your business.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft has been delivering a basic version of its AI experience of Copilot for Windows and Bing Chat Enterprise to enterprise customers since early September. As of 1 November, Microsoft has made the full Microsoft 365 Copilot available for enterprise customers.
Microsoft 365 Copilot provides real-time intelligent assistance, enabling users to enhance their creativity, productivity, and skills. It leverages cutting-edge AI technology from OpenAI to bring generative AI capabilities to most Microsoft 365 applications. It also includes enterprise-grade security, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI to ensure all data processing happens inside your Microsoft 365 tenant.
Over the past few months, Microsoft has introduced more features for Copilot, read on to find out more.
Microsoft 365 Chat
Microsoft 365 Chat is your AI assistant at work that helps lift the weight of administration and more. It combines the power of AI with your work data and apps, such as chats, emails, and files, to solve work-related problems. It’s integrated with the Microsoft 365 Apps you use every day – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and more.
Microsoft 365 Chat can also help you with generative AI capabilities, such as writing code or creating graphics. It can also find information on the web and incorporate your work content to help you draft content, catch up on what you might have missed, and get answers to specific work questions. For example, you can ask it to ‘Create FAQs based on our vacation policy’ or ‘Recap the catch-up meeting by summarising key takeaways and action items.’
These are just some of the features that Microsoft 365 Chat can offer you. There are more amazing and useful features for you to discover and try out.
You can access Microsoft 365 Chat through Microsoft Teams, Bing chat or Microsoft365.com.
Copilot in Outlook
Copilot in Outlook helps you stay on top of your inbox and create impactful communication in a fraction of the time.
You can now also ask Copilot to summarise an email thread to get key information, choose ‘Sound like me’ to match your unique writing style and voice when you’re using Copilot to draft an email. Even if you cannot attend Teams meetings, you can choose to follow the meeting and Outlook will help you record the whole meeting. You can then ask Copilot to summarise the meeting or even ask what your action items are.
Copilot in Word
Copilot in Word transforms every part of the writing process to make you more creative and efficient.
You can now save time on formatting by asking Copilot to generate a table from your document or asking Copilot to do things like deliver a more in-depth bulleted summary with all the information in document.
Copilot in Excel
You can quickly add the formula column, highlight key data, ask questions to uncover key insights with Copilot. For example, you can ask Copilot to “make all cells red where the value is under 1000” or “filter and sort the data by column B”. With Python in Excel, it can access advanced analytics to create professional visualisations, generate forecasts.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft 365 Copilot is available for enterprise customers for just £25 per user per month. If you are interested in Microsoft 365 Copilot, contact our cloud specialist for more information.
Bing Chat Enterprise
Bing Chat Enterprise is a secure and private chat service that leverages the technology of Microsoft Copilot. With Bing Chat Enterprise, you can get everything from Copilot for Windows, plus the additional commercial data protection from Microsoft. It gives you the power of commercial data protection to ensure your users and business data are protected and will not leak outside the organisation.
You may wonder what the difference is between Bing Chat Enterprise and Microsoft 365 Chat, as both are AI-powered chats that can answer your questions. The answer from Bing Chat Enterprise is based on the data from the public web in the Bing search index only and it does not store your chat data to train the underlying models, while the answer from Microsoft 365 Chat can access your organisational resources or content within Microsoft 365.
Bing Chat Enterprise is available at no additional cost for customers who are licensed for Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, Business Premium, or A3 or A5 for faculty, meaning that you can now access Bing Chat Enterprise directly if you are one of these users.
