The Background

Chubb Bulleid is a firm of solicitors based in the West Country. The firm as it stands today was formed in March 1997 by a merger between Chubb Beresford & Wyatt in Wells, which had nearly 150 years of legal expertise, and Bulleid Leeks & Co, a firm formed in Street around 70 years ago.

The Challenge

Experiencing poor download speeds, Chubb Bulleid raised the issue with their incumbent connectivity provider on multiple occasions. However, they gave little support each time and failed to provide bandwidth utilisation statistics or commercially viable upgrade path options. It was a concern to Chubb Bulleid as more applications and services are moving to being cloud based. This was impacting on the quality of service that Chubb Bulleid gave to its clients.

The Solution

After listening to the firm’s challenges, Daisy Communications was able to design a solution that not only met the company’s immediate requirements but will last for years to come.

As Chubb Bulleid intended to move more services to the cloud, it needed fast, reliable connectivity as well as an increase in bandwidth. Daisy provided Gigabit Ethernet circuits for the company’s three locations in Wells, Street, and Somerton. In addition, all have auto failover with FTTC back up connections to ensure Chubb Bulleid faces no downtime.

The Result

Chubb Bulleid have a solid network foundation that allows several options going forward. In the meantime, searching and downloading information from the internet is much quicker and the site-to-site connectivity is no longer lagging or dropping connections due to capacity issues. Video conferencing is now reliable without buffering.

Shaun Foulger, IT Manager at Chubb Bulleid, shared: “We are very happy with the service provided by Daisy.”
