Daisy Communications has today announced the acquisition of Premier Choice Telecom in a strategic move to add to its already growing business and customer base.

Daisy Communications, one of the UK’s largest independent providers of voice, connectivity, mobile, phone system and cloud services, has strengthened its business by acquiring Kent-based Premier Choice Telecom that will bring additional specialist knowledge of health, education and not-for-profit sectors into the Daisy Communications fold.

The Premier Choice Telecom acquisition will bring around 1,500 customers and a 40-strong workforce with their skillset and expertise to enhance the offering of Daisy Communications.

Its workforce will all become part of the Daisy family; they will benefit from being within an environment recently awarded a 2-star accreditation for employee engagement and enjoy the support of a 465-strong workforce.

Premier Choice Telecom is one of the telco leaders within the health, education and charity sectors as well as to UK SMEs and will bring its knowledge and expertise to Daisy Communications, strengthening its position within those sectors and increasing its footprint in the overall marketplace.

Premier Choice Managing Director Nick Stansfield said: “After 20 years of building Premier Choice Telecom, we’ve decided it’s the right time to step away. However, we’re confident we’ve left the business in safe, reliable and capable hands and are stepping away safe in the knowledge that Daisy Communications will not only continue to offer the same great service to our customers but also give our dedicated employees learning and growth opportunities so they can continue on their career paths. We’re thankful for the last 20 years and look forward to seeing the business thrive and succeed in the future.”

Premier Choice Telecom has a clear focus within the healthcare sector which Daisy Communications can use to build upon its existing health presence, brought about by its previous acquisition of Essex-based Surgeryline and is confident about the broader opportunities this new addition will bring.

Daisy Communications CEO Dave McGinn said: “We’re delighted to have acquired Premier Choice Telecom and look forward to the acquisition strengthening our proposition to businesses, especially those within health.

“We have looked at Premier Choice Telecom as being a target for some time and are excited about the additional benefits that this acquisition will bring to us.

“I’m equally as excited about welcoming Premier Choice Telecoms’ 40 staff who will join us, and we can learn from to make this a success for everyone. I look forward to welcoming the employees and to helping all of our customers, both new and existing, collaborate, communicate and connect.”
