At Daisy Communications we’re extremely proud of our diverse and friendly working environment. Here’s Service Desk Engineer Toni Pordage reflecting on her experience of being part of Daisy’s nurturing network.
What is your current position at Daisy? When did you start?
My current position is Tier Two Service Desk Engineer in a team that is a centre of excellence for healthcare clients. I started the role back in December 2022.
What work experience did you have prior to this role and how has Daisy supported your skills and growth?
I’d worked for two other telecommunications companies spanning six years before I joined Daisy, mainly on Wide Area Networks. Daisy is continuing to support my growth by upskilling me on Voice Over IP which is a product that I have previously not had experience with.

I like that everyone at Daisy is friendly and helpful. The day-to-day work environment is relaxed while keeping you focused and encouraged.
What key values do you uphold in your role?
Passion, Adaptability, Character and Teamwork. These are Daisy values, but they are 100% accurate for any role.
Can you share an interesting fact about yourself?
I worked in childcare before starting my telecoms career, I began my journey with no telecoms experience. So, it has been a remarkable journey with Daisy to grow my knowledge of this industry and excel at my role.

Absolutely, Daisy is adept at helping people cultivate new skills and experiences. Anyone working at Daisy benefits from regular training and a nurturing environment to further their career.
What is something you are most proud of having achieved during your time at Daisy?
I am proud of how I’ve integrated into a team that is vital in supporting doctors’ surgeries and dentists.
Do you have some valuable advice to share with newcomers or those interested in applying for a role at Daisy?
My advice would be to ask questions! Don’t be afraid to ask questions, even during the interview process. You can learn a lot by simply sharing your thoughts with others, and voicing any intrigue or ideas you may have.
